fabric & patterns & vests, oh my!

My sweetie bastette_joyce took me to a fabric store in Berkeley this evening. (I don't remember the name, just that it was on Shattuck.) After drooling over many cotton prints, I thought I might put a patchwork vest into my long list of projects and so I began poking through pattern books, and I found a particularly cool one, from a company that also has a web site: Dos de Tejas patterns. I'm especially taken by the Chelsea Vest. Their patterns only go up to size 20, though.

Stonemountain & Daughters? It's fabulous. As soon as I use up the piles of sewing treasures therobbergirl gave me, I'll take a trip up there.

Yay for discounts!

You know my scrub shirt with the black Japanese cat print? They also have it in a really nice royal blue, as well as the red that bastette_joyce got; I think you saw that at my craft party.

I did avoid buying anything there, because I have a huge pile of fat quarters I got from leandra333's mom's garage sale several years ago, and [sternly] I should at least do something with those before buying more fabric.
