http://petfinder.org came through for us and today they brought home a mini schnauzer from a "Toy Breed Rescue" foster parent. Here's his writeup and photo (it might not be up there for much longer):

The writeup doesn't mention that he's a purebred AKC dog. His sire's name is "Sir Chomps a Lot". However, when I google on that name, I come up with an alligator, a text-based adventure game, ravioli in the shape of a dinosaur, and someone's pet venus flytrap.
My parents decided they wanted another dog (their previous dog died about a year ago). They only like miniature schnauzers. http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=6972849

pawvillage.com doesn't have that name for mini-schnauzers but the AKC seems to have a service where they could track it down if they wanted to.
Uh, what was his native language (ref his writeup which says "He is slowly adjusting to the English language which was very frightening for him when he first arrived.")?
It's a lovely dog
